Spring Haven Stables creates a positive environment, as we take advantage of a student’s natural love for horses, to inspire and promote learning. The foundation for our horse and rider lesson program is a horsemanship; This is essential for advancing a riding career. Our Instruction emphasizes riding techniques, by schooling exercises that teach proper equitation, leg, and seat position, safety and the effective partnership between horse and rider.

We aim to help each student achieve his or her maximum potential by using the student’s strongest asset – his or her will – to achieve the greatest potential. We have found that there is no limit for a willing learner. Our trainers create a customized lesson program for each new student, based on his or her level of riding skills and unique needs. From goal setting and tracking, to development, our lessons encourage discipline, poise, confidence, responsibility, and respect.

You do not have to own your own horse in order to enjoy riding. We have schooling horses available and can provide you with a schooling horse suited to your experience level. However, we require that you bring boots, paddock shoes, and a helmet, for your safety.

We offer a comprehensive lesson program depending on level of riding skills and availability. Lessons are available for all ages and skill levels, from brand new riders to A-show veterans.

Josh Wood, Scott Jung, and Deanna Preis are our professional instructors, and we occasionally welcome other professionals to host special clinics.
